Only I am not working on my mac directly I am woring on the Nitrous website so the database system I am using is sqlite 3. Can I continue to folow your course if I am using a different database than the one you are using ??? Thanks again and good luck.

Totally. I had one of the attendees at the last Rails Girls event in Austin I helped at use Nitrous.io and everything went well for them. Some of the instructions might be a little off terminology wise, but so far Nitrous looks like a great product. You could even write a post on the challenges you faced or things that went over well for you!
